What Are You Reaching For
I want to start by introducing myself. My name is Connie Woods I feel like I have a story to share. I pray it touches the hearts of those who read it.
My desire is to encourage others everywhere to bring joy, inspiration, freedom from all the hindrances in life. For us to not give up but to press forward no matter what storms may come our way.
Knowing God will never leave us nor forsake us. He will always be there.
God’s love never fails its everlasting, Nothing can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 35,37
I am a wife with no children but I’m married to a wonderful husband of 30 years. We are both musicians and love to worship with our instruments for the Lord. We’ll go wherever God calls us too. Our desire is to reach out to others in our Music Ministry.
I was raised Baptist. My dad was a Baptist pastor and I was brought up in church my whole life. I accepted Jesus into my life at an early age. I remember as a little girl I would pretend their was a big crowd and I would just preach my little heart out teaching on John 3:16
My hearts desire was to play the piano I would go to all the churches, my dad would minister in, and play for hours on end, not knowing what I was even doing. I could hear beautiful background music playing with me and I still do hear that music when I play. Such precious moments of worship with Jesus.
Well, when I turn 30, I finally took some lessons and got serious in learning to play. My husband and I really got involve ministering in Music, Youth groups, and Small groups in our home, just putting our whole hearts into serving the Lord.
We realized even though we were loving our church and all the ministries we were involved in. We knew we were missing something in our lives. God had more in store for us. It is so easy to be doing and serving God but getting burned out. It began to all seem more like work and we were losing our joy in life. We didn’t realize it at that time.
God is gradually showing us his purpose and plan for our lives.
I feel like God has us in the middle of a new chapter in our lives and so excited for what he has in store for us in the future.
COME ON THIS JOURNEY WITH ME
I had a dream in 2014 and in the dream, God was sharing his heart with me. He showed me I was in a cardboard box. Just because I go to church, pay tithe, minister in music on stage, have care group in my home ect. Doesn’t mean my relationship with the Lord was growing or I was going in the right direction, He knows how to talk to his kids in love with correction. Oh, I knew he was trying to tell me in this dream something I needed to pray about and change some areas in my life.
In the dream I was struggling and rushing to get on stage to minister in music. My husband and I were in the waiting area, some guy came up to me put his face upon my face and he left. Then I told Jeff we were late, church was starting he was rushing to get to the drums and I was trying to get on stage to practice a step routine. The people on stage were in three’s, not sure what the significance was in that, I couldn’t find a spot to join them. Then I heard a voice saying WHAT ARE YOU REACHING FOR? YOU ARE JUST REACHING FOR CARDBOARD!!!
I tried to get up on stage with them but there wasn’t a place for me so I decided to go sit down in the audience. I found a lady with children that were all laying down on pews, I believe this was representing the sleeping church, she told me to join them and move him over so I could sit down. When I did the little boy was in my lap and started talking to me in an adult voice and I seen tattoos on his chest but he was only 5 years old I believe this represents the maturity of the church Hebrews 5: 13-14
WHAT ARE YOU REACHING FOR? YOU ARE JUST REACHING FOR CARDBOARD!!!
REVELATION
Then the picture changed and I was outside of the church. A man who I knew was being arrested. He seen me and said she knows me , but when I started to respond, I realized he was manipulating me. Then he pulled out a gun I started running away seeking shelter around the corner. I was telling others to get back he has a gun. Then there was a gang of men coming at me and it scared me. I started running as fast as I could, talking to Jesus help me run faster! I was running back to the church. I woke up crying, receiving the revelation of the dream. WHAT ARE YOU REACHING FOR! YOU ARE JUST REACHING FOR CARDBOARD!!!
What if? There is so much more God wants for his children then mundane tasks, religion, programs, position, pleasing man, and putting on a face (MASKS) ACTING LIKE WE GOT IT ALL TOGETHER!
I hear the Lord telling us to WAKE UP!!!!
STEP OUT OF THE BOX
WE ARE PLAYING CHURCH WITH MASK ON OUR FACES AND THEIRS IS A WORLD DYING AND GOING TO HELL.
WE NEED TO REALIZE THEIR IS WARFARE AND ITS OUTSIDE THE CHURCH . THEIR IS A HURTING GENERATION WAITING TO BE LOVED AND SAVED. WE HAVE THE ANSWER, ITS
JESUS!!!
LORD HELP US TO WAKE UP!!! HELP US TO STEP OUT OF THE BOX….
