Tenderness Of The Heart
Tenderness, what does it mean to have a tender heart? Tenderness is all about gentleness, kindness, and goodness. That is three fruit of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23
But The Fruit Of The Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5: 22-23
. We need to learn to walk in tenderness of heart daily and walk in genuine love with each other.
Tender Loving Care
The tenderness of my husband when he tucks me in, early in the morning before leaving for work. He always turns the fan on and kisses me before leaving and he never fails to pray for us every day. Their is such a tenderness how he cares just doing little things through out the week for me. He helps with cleaning out the dishwasher or picks up my plate after meal time. He has such a tenderness about him daily doing things for me or in our home. I pray I show that kind of tenderness to him.
What does tenderness look like? I picture my puppies loving on me, cuddling them, and watching them play with their food seeing them rolling around on the floor tossing it up in the air before eating their morsel of food. They are so adorable. Their is such tenderness in my fur babies.
Tender Heart
That makes me think how tender our Lord is with us in our life. What does tenderness mean? Is, their scriptures of tenderness in the Bible? Let’s dig in and see. Tenderness is a feeling of concern, gentle affection, or warmth. It’s the quality of a person who cries when they see someone get hurt, who gently picks up a tiny kitten, picking up a baby with such tenderness and Love. What is a tender heart? A tender heart is a heart that understands that life is hard but longs to offer a helping hand, a heartfelt hug, and unconditional love in spite of offering opinions. A tender heart listens and never demands. A tender heart is not a weak heart, but it is a heart that perseveres when someone is in pain. Eph. 4:32 says:
Be Kind and Helpful to one another, tender-hearted (compassionate, understanding), forgiving one another (readily and freely), just as God in Christ also forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
Tender Mercies
The ultimate tender mercy above all else is our Jesus dying for us. The ultimate sacrifice he gave for us to be saved and set free from all bondages. Taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. We can’t even fathom the suffering and pain he took for us. Oh, I hope never to take advantage of his unselfish unconditional love and sacrifice he freely gave you and me. I don’t think we fully comprehend what truly aspired on that day he died on that cross for our sins, diseases, and our iniquities. Talking about true tender mercy given for us. I can’t fathom that ultimate given and sacrifice for just little olé me and little ole’ you. The true suffering Jesus went through not even recognizing him as a man for all the suffering he went through for us.
Who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a BONDSERVANT, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Phil 2:6-8
What if Jesus said No
What if Jesus was disobedient? What if he didn’t humble himself? Where would we be without Him? Thank God for his Sovreign plan and His Tender Mercies, His mercies are new every morning. Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me and being obedient even unto death and all of the suffering and anguish pain you took for me and you took for us all. I read this in Luke 1:78-79 about the Tender Mercy of God.
Because of the Tender Mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace. Luke 1:78-79
The word tender in this scripture refers to bowels, intestines, (the heart, lungs, liver, etc.) bowels were regarded as the seat of the more violent passions, strengthened from spleen, and inward affection. In all the sermons and scriptures, that I have heard in my life. It talks about the coruscating suffering that Jesus went through. You can read Psalm 22-24 to get some of the teaching and understanding what really took place. Thank God for the Ultimate Sacrifice JESUS who die for me and you. I can’t just end on that note If you don’t know this Jesus, I am speaking of all you have to do is ask him to come into your heart and He will…. It doesn’t matter what you have been through or feel you have done, just say the name of Jesus with a humble and broken heart he will be right there with open arms to receive you.
Jesus, I believe you die for me on the cross and arose from the grave and I ask you take all my sins away and I want you to come into my heart and be Lord of my Life…
