Quiet-Trust-Content

I want to learn to calm and quiet my soul! All that is within me I give to you God. Putting my trust and confidence in you so, I can learn to walk in quietness and contentment daily in my life. To learn to let quietness and trust be my strength as it says in Isaiah 30:15. As I learn to trust I can be confident in my relationship with God and to be grateful. To walk in a heart and attitude of gratefulness and walk in being content. Teach me to be content by learning to be grateful in all things on a day today basis. Help my thoughts gravitate to all your goodness Lord and walk in a life of thanksgiving and praise for all you have done, all you are doing now, and what’s to come.

A Grateful Heart

What does that look like, in my life, to be grateful at all times?

How would we describe that in your life as well?

Let’s try to work on waking up every day and thanking God for all He has done? We can learn to set our mind on being grateful daily for little things in life, like birds chirping, beautiful creation He made, for our family, and our freedom. Learning to speak one thing that we are thankful for and let it become a life changing way of our thought patterns and attitude. The one who is never content is never really grateful. O, Lord help us become your children with a grateful heart every day.

Quiet My Soul

In my quiet time with the Lord, he revealed to me I need to quiet my soul. I don’t know about you but I really need to learn to relax my mind. There seems like a lot of chaos going on up there. lol 😂 It is necessary to learn to rest our minds and our bodies at times. Try to find inconsequential time to be at rest, like knitting, journaling, reading, gardening outside, doing crossword puzzles, watching television etc… Their is no consequences in these things it just helps us to relax our minds. Boy, do we as a society need to learn true peace, true rest, it seems we are all so busy these days striving for that next big thing.

We all want to compete with each other, getting more social media likes or trying to do things God has not intended for us to do. Allowing society to control our thoughts of needing more publicity, money, material things, attention, even for affection we all want to feel needed and excepted. That takes me back to my blog when I spoke about Being Confident In your Own Skin. Knowing who we are and whose we are.

Change Our Stinking Thinking

These are things God is dealing with me about, I’m not going to lie it’s hard hearing these things and mindsets that is not pleasing to God. I’m not speaking condemnation on us that’s not God. He is a gentleman, Holy Spirit nudges, and in love shares areas of weakness we need to work on. I’ve been crying out to be able to hear him and Praise God I am. If you are dealing with this too I hope it inspires and motivates you to want to change and repent. That is what I am trying to do change my mindset and attitude. To learn to walk in the spirit and not walk in my fleshly desires. Rom 8:4-6

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Rom 8:4-6

Slow Down Smell the Roses

O that we would learn to be content and grateful for all God has done and is doing. In some sense, however, we never stop crying out, because we are never satisfied. We are always thinking ahead of the next conquest, next purchase, next thing to feed our appetites.

This is one of the challenges we all deal with in life. When will we quiet our souls and learn to be content? It seems now today in our digital world we always have to be on our phones, iPads, and computers, we’ve lost the ability to sit quiet and still before the Lord, I know I’m guilty of this, I can be sitting in the living room I’ve got my phone, my iPad, and TV going all at the same time. We are a non-stop generation there are times we need to slow down smell the roses 🌹 see all the beauty around us

To Be Content At All Times

We need to learn to be content in our own lives, because, God has made us unique we have our own callings, anointing, talents and gifting. We often look to what others have and what others are doing. We put our eyes on their race instead of focusing on our own. I love how God speaks to us sometimes, that’s pretty direct. Paul says it best in Phil 4:11-12

Now that I speak in respect of want for, I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things, I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Phil 4:11-12

Peace Of God

O Lord teach us to be content and have a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving in our journey with you. that reminds me of the scripture Phil 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7

So, we see the word Thanksgiving being used in this scripture. What follows the word Thanksgiving? Yes, Peace of God comes forth as we give Thanksgiving and Praise to God. We see here how important Thanksgiving is to walk in the Peace of God… As I look up the word Peace in the Strong Concordance, we see it refers to Quietness and Rest.

Trust And Obey

How do we learn to trust in God in our everyday life? Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey, that is what I keep hearing in my spirit.

Every day challenges can test our trust in God. Fear and anxiety can rob us from faith. The future may seem uncertain right now, and worry keeps occupying too much room in your heart, in your mind, but remember this: God is already in all of our tomorrows. The Bible assures us that He knows our way, and He has a plan.

God never asks us to figure it all out on our own. He just asks us to trust Him, to recognize His leadership and Sovereignty in our lives. And His promises in Scripture tell us that he makes our pathways straight. There is power when you trust God. Our security and peace can rest on God alone – not our own circumstances, other people, or our own ability. We can believe His Word when he says that he will not leave us nor forsake us.
