Greatness

How to describe Greatness, let’s see what the word greatness means, it is defined as being larger than ordinary size or ability or being higher in degree of importance. Greatness is the quality that radiates from the inside out. It is who you are when you are honoring your values and living a life of purpose, in other words, when you are stepping into your true self.

The true measure of greatness is our capacity to navigate between our opposites with agility and grace. To accept ourselves exactly as we are, but never to stop trying to get better. Greatness is not about our strengths, our skills or our leadership competencies, it is about who we are in all our dimensions.

How Do We Get Motivated

Why were you put on this earth? What is your purpose in life?

How do we get ourselves motivated and moving daily?

• Getting up having the right attitude is a start
• Get dressed actually putting clothes on for the day not be in lounge clothes all day
• Eating healthy big one for me, I need to start eating healthier
• Setting up a routine daily writing in our planner daily I am struggling with this, sometimes I repeat the same words from the day before and add lots of stickers lol really need to write down my schedule, to do list, meal prep etc…
• Work on chores in the house clothes, dishes, beds etc…
• Make myself move and go forward day to day, this is where I’m struggling daily to get motivated to Move
• I need to learn to write things down I’m keeping a journal now it does help when I write my thoughts down
• Get Motivated Make Things Happen!!! Is there anyone out there hear me? This is real struggles I deal with daily….
  
  How can I live in Gods Greatness and Goodness day to day? Where I feel like I can accomplish something for the day not waste 24 hrs of my day. What can I do today that helps me reach for my Tomorrow? Walk in true joy, inner peace not allow my feelings or emotions dictate my life. It’s a struggle daily for me, Is it for you as well?
  
  What can we do different?
  
  How do we move forward daily? What does that look like?
  
  Walk move as more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus not living in defeat and struggles I feel like I’m digging in mud daily.

My Testimony

I have real struggles in my life I have a lot of unanswered questions, this is not going to be easy for me to talk about. I have in my life time been very confused at times even needed to stay in a hospital for a while. This is not easy to talk about and not very happy that I’ve done this. I struggle in my mind with thoughts that bring a lot of confusion to me and I hurt those around me that I desperately love. I am taking medicine now that seems to be helping me and it really helps to write my thoughts down. The first time this happen my husband didn’t know what to do with me so, he put me in a hospital to try to get help. I only have pieces of all that happen but I ended up my feet got burned very badly while I was there, we went through years dealing with lawyers, doctors, and not very good memories of my past. BUT GOD!!!

Restoration

since then I have went through a lot of heartaches, healings and restoring through the years this all started in December 2002 I was in the hospital in Galveston having foot surgery it was two weeks or so in the Burn unit they wanted to amputate my feet Praise God my husband and family said No!!! I had great doctors and nurses taken care of me in Galveston Burn Unit. We’ve been through a long, long, long time of healing and restoration.

Well, just lately I went thorough this again thank God it was a better hospital this time, a lot of drugs they gave me a lot of unanswered questions but I was more aware of what happen this time. This time no dramatic burns, Thank God, a week away from my love of my life and my precious fur-babies. I met a lot of different people from different walks of life struggling more with drugs and alcohol. But really sweet people I do recommend this hospital St East Tx Medical Center. BUT GOD!!!

But God

Only through God’s goodness and mercy am I still here. I really want to be set free and healed from these episodes. I’m not sure why I am sharing all this believe me it is very humiliating and very shameful when I get like this. I can’t fathom how it effects my husband because it seems I blame him when I am in the middle of this outrage moments. So not true, I love him so much he so supports me and has never left me when this happens, we seem to grow stronger at the end, Praise God!!! I know he hurts deeply for me and needs healing too for all I’ve put him through. BUT GOD!!!

We overcome through the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony so I know this is part of my testimony and I need to speak about it or in this case write about it, since I have such a hard time speaking about it. Baby steps is where I am at so glad I’m sharing some of my testimony and still living it out today.

Gods Goodness

When we think of the Greatness of God and the Goodness of God everything else just fades away. Thank God for his unconditional love and his mercy are new every morning.

The Goodness of God is unending

Goodness of God combats despair

Goodness of God makes you change your thinking,

Goodness of God empowers you

What if the Goodness of God changes you? What if the Goodness of God changes our personality?

Goodness of God breaks through all unrighteousness,

Goodness of God fruit of the Holy Spirit Galatians 5:22-23

Gods Greatness

Greatness in the Bible was never determined by how much money someone had or how much influence or power they claimed to have. Greatness was always given to the one who was a servant, greatness is serving.

If we saw the Greatness of God, we would not be so greedy and covetous

If we saw the Greatness of God, our eyes wouldn’t stray after lustful images and thoughts

If we saw the Greatness of God, we wouldn’t get angry at each other so easily

If we saw the Greatness of God , we wouldn’t pout and get hurt so easily in our marriages.

If we saw the Greatness of God, we wouldn’t worry about our looks so much.

If we saw the Greatness of God we wouldn’t spend time watching mindless, sordid, and defiling television programs

If we saw the Greatness of God, we wouldn’t get so discouraged with the evil and godlessness of our culture.

If we saw the Greatness of God, we wouldn’t give in to our appetites and overeat in boredom and depression.

4 Characteristics of God

Omnipresent means God is everywhere at the same time. He fills heaven and earth. He fills past, present, and future, all at the same time.One cannot ever leave or return to His presence. He is always everywhere. Yet the Bible tells us that after Adam and Eve had sinned, they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and Eve hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. If God is absolutely everywhere, how can one hide from his presence? There must be another dimension of his presence. The Hebrew word for presence here means ”at or to the face.” It is a greater level of intimacy. Though God is everywhere, He is not evident everywhere. The manifest presence is the touchable and tangible essence of God. What a different way of thinking about His presence that there are different dimensions and levels of intimacy with God. Because the word “presence” is translated “at the face,” the Psalmist is encouraging you to get up close and in the face of God.

Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore Ps 105:4 KJV

Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength (His power, His might); Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. Ps 105:4 AMP

Oh how I want that kind of intimacy with my Lord.

Omnipotence means all- powerful. This means God has supreme power and has no limitations.

Omniscience means God is all knowing. This means God knows everything, including the past and future

Omnibenevolent unlimited goodness, the state of being all loving and infinitely good. God is absolutely Good.

Psalm 113

Psalm 113 brings together Gods Greatness and Gods Goodness. These two truths aren’t just thrown together; they balance each other out and give us a well-rounded picture of who God is.

Praise the Lord! Yes, give praise, O servants of the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD now and forever. Everywhere- from east to west- praise the name of the LORD. For the LORD is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens. (These verses are speaking of His Greatness) Ps 113:1-4

Who can be compared with the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high? He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes even the princes of his own people! He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD! (These verses are speaking of His Goodness) Ps 113:5-9

So, we see to Praise God for His Greatness but also for His Goodness that is what distinguishes our God from other gods or rulers. Our LORD is different He is concerned about people and what goes on in their lives. God is great, but He is interested and gets involved in our lives because He cares. God, who is so great, looks down from above the heavens. Sees people in absolute destitution, and is moved with compassion to raise them to a position of prominence.

This is God’s character to be moved with compassion by the needs of people. And we clearly see from this the Goodness of God. God’s Goodness stands with His Greatness to make Him the God that He is.
These two aspects of God’s nature are not contradictory, they are complimentary. If God were only Great, He would not be concerned about mankind, but if He were only Good He would not have the power to act on His concerns.

His Greatness makes Him Worthy of our worship and adoration. While His goodness Makes Him worthy of our love and devotion. Now we can see why the psalmist calls for such a response of Praise and why our hearts ♥️ can respond with such adoration and honor.
