Take The Time To Listen

Are we truly spending quality time with our Lord and Savior?

Can we hear that still small voice whispering to us? Saying come, walk with me in the cool of the day, seek my face, seek me with your whole heart.

Can we truly listen drown out all the other sounds and just hear our Father speak to us?

What is he saying right now to you? Listen, I hear these words, Come here to my resting place hear me calling you daily I want to commune with you, and show you great and mighty things which you know not of. The deepest secrets of old which you can’t fathom in your own limited thinking, come up higher dwell and abide in the secret place of the Most High God, Creator of the Universe.

Miss My Time With You

Think, about that for a moment? The Master and Creator of the universe wants to commune with us have a relationship, intimacy with us. Woah! He wants to communicate with me and you. I think about all the times I have been so busy, or I get so preoccupied with nonsense mainly in my head I can’t quiet my soul enough to just be still and listen. How I tend to neglect opening my bible or pray throughout the day. Just to spend time in his presence, seek his face, and to ask Holy Spirit to guide my daily routines. Asking him daily what are the plans for the day, Holy Spirit. To be able to hear what he wants to speak however he sees fit. Being prepared for different times and seasons we are living in. Just listening to your still small voice.

O Lord forgive me for not taking the time to learn and quiet my soul help me to really listen and obey your voice, direction, your leadership in my life.

TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN! TAKE THE TIME TO HEAR YOU, TO GET TO KNOW YOU AS MY FRIEND, BROTHER, FATHER, AND MY KING, LORD & SAVOIR!!!

O’ God I don’t want to miss out on spending time with you. Truly getting to know you, loving you, seek your face, know your heart, and know your ways like Moses did

Miss My Time With You

He Made Known His Ways to Moses

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel Psalm 103:7

The Israelites saw God’s acts, deeds, miracles. Moses, however, knew God’s ways, character, and nature. The people knew what God did, but Moses knew God. Moses had a relationship with God. Moses knew his nature and his character and was not afraid of His Presence. The people, however, only knew of what God did, they didn’t have a relationship with God. Because of this, when God came, they’re response was fear.

Face to Face Encounter

There is nothing like face to face encounter or, in Moses’s experience, He spoke mouth to mouth with God Almighty YAHWEH!!! How Awesome that had to be, a face-to-face relationship with God. To see visions, have experiences, dreams, or manifestations how tremendously those encounters are with God, but to truly encounter King of Kings Lord of Lords with God Almighty face to face is everlasting. We get to do that to have that Face-to-Face encounter we have that freedom we get that right to see him and be with him enter Holy of Holies daily. Let’s look at Numbers 12-6-8

If there were prophets among you, I the LORD, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams. But not with my servant Moses. Of all my house, he is the one I trust. I speak to him face to face, clearly, and not in riddles! He sees the LORD as he is. So why were you not afraid to criticize my servant, Moses?

Can God Trust Us

The reference in this scripture is where our LORD is rebuking Aaron and Miriam but listen to what our LORD says about Moses, he said he trust him, speak to him clearly not in riddles.

That’s Awesome, can we say God can trust us?

Can he trust us like he trusts Moses?

Jealous God

Jealous God

As I keep reading in Exodus about Moses we see in Exodus 34:14 these words:

You must worship no other gods, For the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is Jealous about his relationship with you. Exodus 34:14

When we search out the word Jealous in the Hebrew Strong Concordance, we need to look at the root word and all the corresponding words with it. We see Jealous in the Hebrew here is meaning Zealous. The root word H7065 qana to be zealous. As we keep looking at the Hebrew words that are derived from a parent root are closely related this will help paint a picture of the meaning of this word.

Bird Protecting Its Nest

We see in H7064 qen means nest or nestlings; a dwelling, as we keep looking in the Hebrew finding words related to each other. Strongs #7077 qanan a prim root to build or occupy as a nest Strongs #7075 qinyan creation, creatures, purchase, wealth, money, riches and substance. Strongs #6969 a verb meaning to chant or wail, from the sound of a bird. Strongs #7013 meaning a spear from the beak of a bird that is used as a weapon, all this is referring to a bird protecting its “nest”. So, with what I am learning from Jeff Benner and his teachings we see a different perspective on our God as being a jealous or zealous God…

YAHWEH IS LIKE THE BIRD THAT DEFENDS AND PROTECTS ITS YOUNG IN THE NEST AND IT IS THIS IMAGERY THAT IS MEANT WHEN THE VERSE SAYS THAT HE IS A “ZEALOUS GOD”
