Seeing Things In A New Perspective

What does seeing things in a new Perspective look like? I started Seeing things differently, like a light bulb came on in my head.

I woke up from a dream one morning, I’ve had different scenarios of this dream in the past. For so many years it’s always referring to relationships that I have had. I really believe these dreams that come so very often in my life is just things to remind me of rejections, mistakes, and regrets in my life experiences. It’s like the enemy tries to use it to make me feel like I could have done things differently. It was all my inadequacies I did wrong in the relationships.

New Perspective In A Dream

I woke up from this dream realizing a new perspective had challenged me. In the dream It was my 1st love and my friend and me. All throughout this particular dream I was expecting him to pursue me, thinking he was attracted to me, but through all the scenarios that were played out. He told me he wasn’t interested in me at all, but that he was more interested in my friend.

A Deeper Clarity Of Things

I realized something for the very first time. My perspective was totally different than his perspective and the way he thought about me. It really brought some clarity in my life like never before. All the imaginary thoughts and memories that I had invented for so many years was created into a fantasy of some romantic illusion in my mind. I believe the lying thoughts and memories that I had allowed to be created were affecting my relationships throughout my life. How come we allow our perspective about a person or situation overcome and rule over us? We can bring about a good perspective or bad, for me in this situation, it has been a bad perspective, thinking that the other person sees things totally in a different way.

Shelf, Jar, and Crickets

Envisioned a shelf while I was getting an understanding of what God was revealing to me about my past. So, I started thinking what a shelf is used for, storing things, decorating, there are different sizes, then I pictured a glass jar how it is used in canning goods and stored on shelves. Still trying to figure out these images I pictured a cricket and how we put crickets in jars…. I started studying this on google, how people truly do put crickets in jars lol I was remembering how we put fireflies in jars I wasn’t sure about crickets 🦗. I read to use a large jar with a lid for capturing the crickets but to make sure to poke holes in the lid for them to breathe but not escape…. That really resonated with me how I’ve been in the jar like those crickets

To Breathe Not Escape

The realization that I have allowed myself to be put in a jar with no escape stored up on a shelf and in bondage with my past. I looked up shelf which means in a state of inactivity or uselessness. I looked up jar which refers to unsettle, to be out of harmony, perplexing, upsetting, and confusing. Woah! What a revelation! Seeing things In a New Perspective! Something so profound but so simple. There is healing for me and for you especially when we know the truth. Why do we let the enemy come in, twist things up and keep us entangled in a web? Lord forgive me, help me deal with my past rejections and hurts. Heal me completely once and for all to see the truth and walk in your healing arms, knowing all that truly matters is your love for me.

Disciple Of The Truth

So how do we get out of bondage from our past hurts, failures, and experiences? This brings me too the scripture John 8:31-32

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in my word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

I think the key is abiding in his Word and knowing the truth. Let’s read that verse again. Abide in my word, you are my disciples. It is not enough to just have an idea about the truth but to be a Disciple of the Truth. We need to have an everyday encounter with Holy Spirit and seek his word daily. He is the Truth, Life, and the Way. Amen. It’s all about having a relationship and true genuine friendship with God where we hear his voice and know his heart… He completes me! Not anything or anyone else can take away his unconditional love for me. that same unconditional love is for you too. He loves us with an everlasting love nothing can separate us from his love.
